June Jazz @ The Zoo is MC-NPL’s annual fundraiser on June 2. The event, held at Montgomery County’s own Elmwood Park Zoo, includes excellent live jazz, delicious food and drink, fun door prizes, a silent auction, and the opportunity to mingle with other interesting library friends and supporters!

Guests will enjoy the delicious array of hors d’oeuvres prepared by the Zoo’s terrific in-house caterer and have the chance to hear (and dance to!) the energizing sounds of local jazz group The N Town Band. Not to mention having the rare opportunity to explore the zoo after hours! To add to the excitement of the evening there will also be a fabulous selection of silent auction items, a 50/50 raffle and door prizes.

The funds from June Jazz @ The Zoo go a long way to helping the library to continue growing its collection based on the community’s ever-evolving needs and interests. Our 2015 event netted $20,000 to apply to our materials budget which was truly helpful. We are looking to surpass that total this year!

Tickets are $50 per person and all proceeds from ticket sales to June Jazz @ The Zoo will aid inoff-setting the library’s persistent funding challenges. Each ticket sale helps us to reach our 2016 fundraising goal plus you have the chance to enjoy what is certain to be a lovely evening out!

By purchasing tickets you demonstrate confidence in what the Library does for you, your neighbors, and the community at large. You also join an amazing group of individuals and organizations that make a difference for the library, including our Media Sponsor The Times Herald!

Interested in becoming a sponsor of this fun and worthwhile event? Would you like to purchase tickets and spend a music filled evening at the zoo for a good cause? Contact the library about sponsorships and tickets by calling 610-278-5100 x140.
