The Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library will be closing its 1001 Powell, Norristown location effective Monday, 5/12/2025 while we move the library to its new temporary location at 1700 Markley Street, Norristown.
While we are closed, we will continue to provide services for you:
- We will provide phone service and curbside pickup Monday through Saturday from 9am-12pm.
- Our delivery vans and bookmobiles will continue to deliver books and services throughout Montgomery County
- Book drops will be available at 1001 Powell Street for returning books and materials.
- Our adult and children’s programs will be out in the community, visiting schools, parks, and other community centers. Interested in a visit from us? Contact us at 610-278-5100.
- Libby is always available for checking out eBooks, audiobooks, and magazines.
- Our eResources are always available for your research needs.
- Visit and discover our Montgomery County Libraries.
We anticipate that we will be closed for 4-6 weeks. If you need assistance, please don’t hesitate to call us at 610-278-5100 between 9am – 12pm Monday – Saturday.
