Black Freedom Struggle: Primary Resources
The Black Freedom Struggle resource features approximately 1,600 primary source documents related to critical people and events in African American history. By centering on the experiences and perspectives of African Americans, it is hoped that this collection imbues the study of Black history with a deeper understanding of the humanity of people who have pursued the quest for freedom, and the significance of movements like Black Lives Matter.

Contains over 120,000 reviews of books and electronic media. Book reviews date back to 1992. Features such as recommended reading lists, read-alikes, and readers’ blogs make it a useful tool for people searching for the perfect book.

A comprehensive resource for younger learners with encyclopedia articles, images, videos, and magazine articles. There is a fundamentals section for children Pre-K through grade 2 as well.

Learning Express Library

The Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library is pleased to announce that, thanks in part to funding from the Literacy Council of Norristown, Learning Express Library will continue to be available to library card holders of the Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library and the four branches (Conshohocken Free Library, Perkiomen Valley Library at Schwenksville, Royersford Free Public Library, and the Upper Perkiomen Valley Library). Learning Express Library is available to anyone visiting our libraries and remotely to our library card holders. For more information, please contact the reference desk at 610-278-5100 x 2.

It includes test preparation for a wide range of tests, college admission preparation, GED test preparation (in both English and Spanish), career information, adult skills building, and much more.

Provides free medical information from a trusted source for both consumers and professionals. There is even a veterinary manual included. Subjects cover thousands of topics in all fields of medicine and are offered freely to health care professionals and the general public. Resources are provided in English, Spanish and a number of other languages.

MyHeritage Library Edition
This multilingual family history research database includes billions of historical documents from 48 countries, millions of historical photos, public records, indexes, and additional resources that span the past five centuries.
