Conshohocken Free Library will accept book and material donation with the understanding it will become part of the property of the library and used to widen the access to education and knowledge in the community.

Most book and material donations accepted by the library are given to the Friends of the Conshohocken Free Library, a volunteer fundraising group.  These donations are used to stock a used book sale, which is entirely volunteer run.  Books must be in good condition, with resale value. Furthermore, books and material cannot be a threat to the preservation of our circulating stacks.  Library staff may reject any donations that may harm other material in the library, based on condition.

We will gladly accept up to three boxes of good condition used books with resale value as long as our donation cart is empty.  You must be able to get the donated material in to the library on your own.  Staff is not required and often unable to help.  We can provide a tax receipt from the circulation desk upon request.  Donors are responsible for counting and filling in donation amounts.

Donations must be brought in to the library during open hours.  Any material left on our porch will be thrown away.  Boxes of books left outside easily trap moisture as well as become home to insects and rodents, which is harmful to material inside and the library building itself.
