Bookmobile and Outreach Services
Bookmobile and Outreach Services is proud to accept invitations to participate in Community Day celebrations and Expos throughout Montgomery County. Attending these events is an important part of our library outreach mission. They are great opportunities for us to see old friends, make new ones, and fulfill our mission of service to our communities.
Community Days
Community Days take place in various Montgomery County municipalities in the spring and fall of each year. We bring a bookmobile and staff to these events. Event participants can tour the bookmobile, sign up for library cards, check out books, and meet our staff. Participants can also pick up fun and informational handouts at our event table. If the event can not accommodate a bookmobile, we will leave the bookmobile at home and set up and staff an information table or tent.
Expos
Bookmobile and Outreach Services accepts invitations to attend Expo events in Montgomery County that focus on themes that align with our library outreach mission or that are sponsored by a Montgomery County public library. Our mission themes include public library access, literacy, preschool children (ages 3-5 years old), seniors, and the homebound. We can bring a bookmobile and staff to the event, set up and staff an information table or tent, or both.
