People aren’t the only creatures on the planet that can become engineers! Enjoy a reading of Rosie Revere, Engineer by Andrea Beaty, then meet some live animals you can find in your backyard who take building to the next level! Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Drop in.

Norristown area students display their fabulous art creations in the Children’s Department. Musical entertainment provided by a combined middle school/high school jazz band. Light refreshments will be served. All ages.

Introduce your child to science! Stories, followed by hands-on activity stations designed for children ages 3-1/2 to 5 and their caregivers to experience and explore together. Share the excitement of discovery with your child!
The LEAP into Science program began in 2007 as a partnership between The Franklin Institute and the Free Library of Philadelphia. It’s a fun program designed to engage children ages 3-1/2 to 5 and their families in science and literacy by integrating hands-on science activities with children’s literature.
