Many regular library programs will continue to meet while our buildings are closed. Around mid-June we will continue these programs in our new, temporary location at 1700 Markley Street.

AAA Activities will gather in Elmwood Park at our normal time for outdoor games and socializing, weather permitting. Adults of all abilities are welcome to join us! Thursdays at 10:30am along Harding Blvd near the playground and bandshell. 5/15, 5/22, 5/29, 6/5, 6/12.

The Saturday Book Club with Dr. Hal Halbert will meet at the Recycle, Read, Repeat Used Bookstore at 208 Cherry Street. The owners recommend parking along Lafayette Street. All are welcome. We will discuss If Beale Street Could Talk by James Baldwin. Saturday 5/17 at 1pm.

The Teen Book Club will meet at the Recycle, Read, Repeat Used Bookstore at 208 Cherry Street on Saturday, May 17th at 3:30pm. The owners recommend parking along Lafayette Street. All are welcome. We will be discussing Mooncakes by Suzanne Walker.

The Mostly Lesbian Book Club will meet at the Recycle, Read, Repeat Used Bookstore at 208 Cherry Street. The owners recommend parking along Lafayette Street. All are welcome. Monday 5/19 at 6:30pm.

The Writer’s Forum: Adult Writers Group will meet at the Recycle, Read, Repeat Used Bookstore at 208 Cherry Street. The owners recommend parking along Lafayette Street. All are welcome. Wednesday 5/21 at 5:30pm.

The Horror Book Club will meet at the Recycle, Read, Repeat Used Bookstore at 208 Cherry Street to discuss Meddling Kids by Edgar Cantero. The bookstore owners recommend parking along Lafayette Street. All are welcome. Wednesday 5/28 at 6pm.

Staff and Lord of the Rings fans will meet on Friday mornings in the Farm Park to earn “Walk to Mordor” miles. Meet at 10am at the Whitehall Road lot across from the NASD Administration Building. 5/16, 5/23, 5/30, 6/6, & 6/13. Bring your own water bottle!

The Mystery Book Club will meet on zoom to discuss Trailed: One Woman’s Quest to Solve the Shenandoah Murders by Kathryn Miles. Tuesday 6/3 at 2pm. Email Jeanne at JCove@mclinc.org to receive the link.

The Movie Talkers: Film Discussion Club, will meet at the Recycle, Read, Repeat Used Bookstore at 208 Cherry Street to discuss The Birdcage (1996) directed by Mike Nichols. The bookstore owners recommend parking along Lafayette Street. All are welcome. Wednesday 6/4 at 6pm.
