Children’s’ Matinees

Fridays at 1pm in July

Cool off with the whole family in the community room with a kid friendly movie on Fridays at 1pm.  Registration not required but space may be limited.  Movie line up is as follows:

  • July 5 “Inside Out” is rated PG for mild thematic elements and some action with a run time of 1 hour 42 minutes.

    Synopsis:
    Emotions run wild in the mind of a young girl who is uprooted from her peaceful life in the Midwest and forced to move to San Francisco. Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness each have their own ideas about how she should handle her new surroundings.

  • July 12 “Migration” is rated PG for action/peril and mild rude humor with a run time of 1 hour and 22 minutes.

    Synopsis:
    The animated film tells the story of a family of ducks dreaming of the perfect getaway vacation. Mack, the overprotective father, cannot take the risk of traveling from New England all the way to Jamaica. When his two kids, Dax and Gwen, try to convince him to take the leap, Mack must navigate the tricky route through New York City while keeping his family safe.

  • July 19 “Race for Your Life, Charlie Brown” is rated G with a run time of 1 hour and 15 minutes.

    Synopsis:
    The “Peanuts” gang at summer camp, where Charlie and his pals cope with bullies and compete in a raft race. The songs include “She’ll Be Comin’ Round the Mountain” and “Charmaine.” Bill Melendez directed.

  • July 26 “E.T.” is rated PG for language and mild thematic elements, but some say it may not be suitable for children under 8 due to disturbing scenes, violence, and scary images. It has a run time of 1 hour and 55 minutes.

    Synopsis:
    A lonely boy befriends a homesick alien stranded on Earth and attempts to help him find a way home. Meanwhile, a group of government scientists attempt to capture the benevolent visitor for research. Won Oscars for sound, visual effects and score.
