The Norristown cookbook club is back by popular demand. Each month we choose a cookbook. It is put on display at the circulation desk at the Norristown Public Library. Choose a recipe and make free copies or order the book from another library (or find an ebook copy if available). Make the recipe at home and bring it to cookbook club to share. We will taste and discuss the chosen recipes. Our next meeting will be Monday, February 10, 2025. We will be discussing and cooking from Cook’s Country Eats Local and The Complete Cook’s Country TV Show Cookbook both by America’s Test Kitchen.
Cook’s Country Eats Local by America’s Test Kitchen – Collects one hundred fifty local recipes from around the United States, from Philadelphia cheesesteaks and Utica greens to Carolina red slaw and Texas chicken-fried steak.
The Complete Cook’s Country TV Show Cookbook by America’s Test Kitchen – This collection will teach you foolproof methods for making more than 250 great American recipes including Apple Cider Chicken, Pan-Fried Pork Chops, and Mile-High Lemond Meringue Pie. And in addition to learning how to make great food, you can read the colorful stories behind the recipes.
