Why should little kids have all the fun? Teens can do fun stuff at library and win prizes too this summer too! Whether you read one book or ten, you’ll earn chances to win. Attend programs at the library in person and you may win extra chances. The library is open all summer and usually has working a/c. We have a place on the first floor by the far windows for teens to hang out. Saturday hours in July & August switch to 10am-2pm only. Respect the space. Respect each other. Respect yourselves.

Why should I read? It is a great escape. It can be funny or sad or exciting. We have books at all levels about so many things. Learn about other people and places. Learn how to be good at something. Reading has been proven to reduce stress and anxiety. Reading will help you succeed in life. Get better at it. If you think it’s boring, you have the wrong book. Seriously, give it a try.

(Beanstack will be available June 15)

To get started, download the free Beanstack app to log reading minutes and be entered to win $25 gift cards throughout the summer. (Choose the Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library Teen Challenge.)  Audiobooks, graphic novels, magazines, reading to your little cousin, required reading for school…it all counts. You can also submit reviews and see what other teens are reading on Beanstack.
