Patron Access Computers in the Computer Lab

The Computer Lab has 16 computers available for public access computing. In addition to lab closures for classes or special programming, occasionally internet service is disrupted in order to perform maintenance or upgrades.You can sign up for advanced email notifications of service downtime.

Library computers must comply with the Children’s Internet Protection Act and so there is internet filtering software on the computers. Adults who provide proof of age over 17 can have filtering disabled, but nevertheless everyone must abide by our internal guidelines for appropriate use of the internet.

-Windows Ease of Access apps (not including speech recognition) -Narrator, Magnifier, on-screen keyboard

Printing
-Black and White laser printing
-$.15 per page for text, $.50 or $1.00 for pictures, depending on size.

Credentials for access
-a library card in good standing, meaning no outstanding overdue materials or money owed. If you forget your card or are just visiting for the day, with I.D. that has your current address on it, you can get a day pass.

Time limits
-You are guaranteed at least one half hour on a computer. When we are busy, users are rotated out depending on who has been using a computer the longest.
-If you get rotated out, you can come back in a half hour.
-We don’t limit how many times you can come back.
