A Note to Our Patrons

Dear Library Patrons,

Though the library remains closed, the staff is committed to bringing you quality information, services, and entertainment through the power of the Internet. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work through this challenge together.

During this time, you can explore new ways of getting information without leaving your home.

If you need a library card, apply online by clicking here. Once submitted, a library card number will be emailed to you.

Entertainment
Montgomery County librarians have started a YouTube channel where they are posting story times and other library programs for children. Join Miss Kerri and Miss Becky for story time.

For history, education, art, and music visit some of our recommended virtual tour sites.

Exercise with our volunteer certified yoga instructor, Ash Aragam on YouTube.

If you are interested in joining our online book club meetings contact Asha Verma at her email address under Contact below.

Services and Information
Take advantage of the services accessible through our website: mc-npl.org.  Enjoy eBooks and audiobooks with OverDrive/Libby.  Entertain the kids with the story books, videos, games, and puzzles from Tumblebooks, Bookflix and Trueflix.

In addition, you can also click here and explore our electronic resources such as:

  • Ancestry.com – Research your heritage
  • Cypress Resume – Fine tune your resume
  • RBDigital – Read full issues of magazines
  • Reference USA – Find your business competitors

Also know that the Ask Here PA Online Chat Reference service is up and running during the pandemic. Librarians across the state are stepping up to helping our patrons during this time, available 24/7.

Return Policy
Patrons who have library materials checked out will not incur fines. We ask that you keep it with you until the library reopens.

Contact
You may email inquiries or questions to Asha Verma, Head of Readers’ Services at Averma@mclinc.org.

The residents of Montgomery County, and indeed of our entire nation are resilient. We stand strong together to rise to meet this challenge. Stay safe. Till we meet again at the library.

Sincerely,

The Staff and Board of Directors,
Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library
