A Note to Our Patrons

Dear Library Patrons,

Now that Montgomery County has entered the Commonwealth’s COVID-19 Green Phase, we are pleased to announce the main library, its branches and the bookmobiles now offer curbside pickup and drop off of library materials.  See below for more information about this service and other programs available now.  Meanwhile, the library’s physical buildings will remain closed until further notice.  Please visit this page, Facebook, and Twitter for more updates in the coming weeks.   Thank you for your continued patience and support as we re-introduce services and introduce new safety procedures for staff and patrons alike.

The following services are now available:

We also hope you will continue enjoying our virtual services.

If you need a library card or need to renew an expired one, apply online by clicking here.  During this application process, a search is first done for an existing card. If found, your existing card will be renewed, and you will be contacted by email to confirm this. Otherwise, once your application has been submitted, a new library card number will be emailed to you.

Montgomery County librarians have started a YouTube channel where they are posting story times and other library programs for children. Join Miss Kerri and Miss Becky for story time.

For history, education, art, and music visit some of our recommended virtual tour sites.

Exercise with our volunteer certified yoga instructor, Ash Aragam on YouTube.

If you are interested in joining our online book club meetings contact Asha Verma at her email address under Contact below.

Stay safe and get your library materials with grab and go service. For more information, call 610-278-5100 X 0.

Return Policy

Fines will be waived through August 31, 2020.  However, library materials can now be returned to the book drops located on the Powell and Swede Street entrances. Book Donation

The library is not accepting book donations at this time due to COVID 19. Thank you for your understanding.
