Dear Library Patrons,

The Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library building is open for public access with limited hours. As a health safety precaution and a service to those who do not want to come into the building at this time, curbside pickup service will continue along with many online services and virtual programs. See below for more information about these services and programs.

Please visit this page, Facebook, and Twitter for more updates in the coming weeks. Thank you for your continued patience and support as we reopen the library to public access and re-introduce services and introduce new safety procedures for staff and patrons alike.

Curbside Service

Curbside Service is available at the Main Library and at the Bookmobiles. Our branches also offer curbside service. Please contact each of them directly for further information.

Temporary Library Card Service

The library is pleased to offer a temporary library card so that you can access our online digital resources and services such as eBooks, audiobooks, eMagazines, remote computer classes, etc. Please click HERE for the Online Library Card Application. Once submitted, a library card number will be emailed to you with further instructions and links to resources. To receive your physical card, please bring your ID with a current address to the Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library within a month from the date the barcode is issued to you. If you wish to pick up your card either from one of our branches or bookmobile, please call us at 610-278-5100 X 0

During this application process, a search is first done for an existing card. If found, your existing card will be renewed, and you will be contacted by email to confirm this. Otherwise, once your application has been submitted, a new library card number will be emailed to you.

Programs, Entertainment and Education

All programs will remain virtual: there will be no in-building, in-person programs until further notice.

We hope you will continue enjoying our virtual programs.
