Through automation you have access to materials in libraries throughout the nation. Requests may be made using your online library account, through request slips, or by contacting Susan Horning at 610-278-5100×122 or Shorning@mclinc.org. You will be notified by e-mail or telephone when your requested material(s) is available.
Loan periods are generally four weeks, but will vary according to the next scheduled visit, type of material, and for new titles. Your receipt will clearly state the due date of each resource checked out. If a bookmobile fails to meet its stop, materials will be due on the next scheduled visit to that stop and material to be picked up will be held for the next visit.
Renewals may be placed on items based on the number of allowed renewals for that item. Renewals are item specific. Items may not be renewed if there is a hold (another patron waiting to borrow the resource) placed on the item. There are no renewals for DVDs. Materials checked on on the bookmobiles may be returned to any bookmobile or any Montgomery County library.
Each borrower is responsible for all materials drawn on his/her card and for all fines accrued. LOST CARDS should be reported immediately. There is a $3.00 charge for replacement of lost library cards.
Fines for overdue materials: Adult materials 15¢ per day and Children’s materials 10¢ per day with an $8.00 maximum assessment. Overdue fines for materials from libraries other than Montgomery-County-Norristown may vary. Lost items must be reimbursed at full cost, plus a prosessing charge if applicable.
Bookmobile DVDs are borrowed for a two-week period or longer if your next scheduled stop is beyond the two-week period. The rental fee for DVDs is $1.00 for the two week loan. Please note: the fine for DVDs is $2.00 per day with a maximum fine of $30.00. charge is $1.00/video for the two week loan, and the late fee is $2.00/day with a maximum fine of $30.00.
