GSK Science in the Summer is a fun and free science education program sponsored by GSK and administered by the Franklin Institute, which introduces students to the wonderful and fascinating world of science. Through classes held in your local public library and taught by certified teachers, this program gets kids excited about science with hands-on experiments. Classes are small with 16 students each, so be sure to register early!

At Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library, kids will learn about Physical Science. Why does a compass always point north? How does a light switch work? Students will answer these questions and more when they experiment with magnets, witness the effects of static electricity and build their own electrical circuit.

Classes run for two days. Course dates are Wed., July 6 and Thurs., July 7, OR Mon., July 25 and Tues., July 26 (please choose one set only). Level I classes are at 10:00-12:00, and Level II classes are at 1:00-3:00.

Level I classes are for children entering grades 2-3

Level II classes are for children entering grades 4-6

PLEASE NOTE! Registration will be ONLINE ONLY instead of in person. Use your home computer or visit the library to use the public computers.
