Ever wonder what it’s like to be an engineer? From helping hospital patients to managing storm water in your neighborhood, design, build, and test your solutions to real world challenges! Join us for GSK Science in the Summer, a fun STEM program in partnership with the Franklin Institute.

GSK’s Science in the Summer is geared towards children ages 7-13. This year’s theme, Be An Engineer, is broken into four sections: environmental, structural, biomedical, and electrical. Each section has its own curriculum, introductory videos, and experiments that you can do at home. Find all the information you’ll need to participate on the Science in the Summer website.

Between May 3-May 21, you can enter a lottery to win a free kit of at-home experiments, a lab notebook, and stickers! Winners will be announced in June. If you don’t win a kit, don’t worry–you can still participate without winning a kit!

After you complete your lesson and do the experiments, join a LIVE virtual team meeting led by an educator from the Franklin Institute to reflect on your learning and experience. View the schedule of events on the SIS website!
