We are very excited to welcome you back to the Conshohocken Free Library!  Currently, we are offering limited open hours for browsing and checking out materials.

Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday – 10AM to 1PM

Monday – 3 to 6:30PM
Tuesday through Friday – 2 to 4PM
Saturday – 11AM to 1:30PM

  1. Limited Number of patrons inside the library at any given time.  Only 8 patrons can be in the library at a time.  Please keep your visit short: 30 minutes or less. If people are waiting for a turn to come in the library, we may ask you to wrap up your visit.
  2. Masks are required.  We ask everyone over the age of 2 to wear a mask when entering the library.  Please wear the mask over both your nose and mouth and keep it on throughout your visit.  Library staff will be wearing masks as well.  If you forget a mask, we can offer you a disposable paper mask.  If you are unable to wear a mask, please consider taking advantage of our porch pick up service—we are committed to helping our patrons get access to library materials in the safest manner possible.
  3. Hand sanitizer will be available at the library for patron and staff use.  Please use hand sanitizer upon entering the building, and again as often as needed.
  4. Please follow social distancing guidelines while in the library.  Our entire collection will be available for patrons to browse while in the library, but please do so in a careful manner.  Our passageways between shelves are small and should only be visited by one patron at a time. If library staff ask you to wait until an area is clear, please cooperate.
  5. Keeping the library clean.  The library will be visited by cleaning staff two times per week.  In addition, library staff will wipe down frequently touched surfaces at least once per day (e.g.: doorknobs, photocopier and elevator buttons, checkout counters).  However, we cannot clean everything between each patron.  Please protect yourself and help us keep these public spaces clean by washing your hands thoroughly and using hand sanitizer.
  6. Use of Public Computers.  These will be available for public use by appointment only for 45-minute periods.  Please call the library to make your appointment.  Generally, priority will be given to patrons who have not had a prior chance to use a computer in any given week.  Workstations, including keyboard covers, will be wiped down between patron appointments.
  7. Use of Bathrooms.  The bathrooms will be available for patron use.  Staff will wipe these spaces down at least once a day, but we cannot clean them between each patron. Please wash your hands thoroughly and take advantage of our hand sanitizer after using the bathroom.
  8. Returning materials. We prefer materials to be returned via our outside book return box, which always will be open for returns.  Returns will be quarantined for at least 48 hours before being checked in.  We will waive any fines that might accrue during the quarantine period.

We can’t wait to see you at the library!
